SCOPE OF SERVICES
Partnering:-

With mutually beneficial terms we can arrange for shared ownership schemes where a lens machine can be built for your own premises at cost with royalty payments on lenses sold as fee income for Colin Wess.

Consultancy:-

Consultancy services to the lens industry. If you have a specific design or engineering problem(s) that you need solving then Colin can provide you with professional advise & opinions with possible solutions & costings that could meet your objectives.  Fees will be dependent upon scope of work, time & location etc.  Written estimates given upon request. He can often offer unexpected solutions to manufacturing problems.

Design & Build:-

Prototype machinery design and construction. Colin can design & build 4 & 6 Axis Lens production lathes to suit individual customer requirements. Low or high volume machines are available to suit most applications.  Once a formal contract has been installed, supply & commissioning of your machine is approximately 3 to 6 months depending upon complexity of customer requirements & current commitments.

Other machines for the lens industry can also designed & produced for a variety of associated tasks such as polishing etc.  Do you have existing machines that are limited by inadequate design or have compatibility problems with your in house processes or systems?  Let Colin assess your problems to offer a wider perspective on the possible solutions that could well produce better productivity &/or product improvement.

Training, Maintenance & Servicing:-

Colin will provide hands on training of all his machines for your operatives prior to formal hand-over.  Our machines are designed to be used & maintained by semi-skilled staff which will reduce your running costs & expensive engineers call out charges.  However, by the very nature of these precision lathe machines some form of overhauling & checking by Colin will be a requirement once or twice a year which will be quoted for.

We keep detailed records of all our lens machines as each one is bespoke to customer requirements.  We keep a select number spare parts for any break-downs or repairs for common items but most parts or items can be re-made at our factory & shipped out to your own premises within 28 days for installation by your own trained personnel or Colin can arrange a site visit for an Engineer repair.
